Director, Workday Application Management


  • Act as the IT team lead throughout the Workday implementation project in progress (currently in P1 unit testing and integration development)
  • Lead Workday application management, including release management, business process configuration, integrations, and security, in partnership with the HCM and Finance business teams, and our implementation partner, PwC
  • Manage a team of business analysts and developers focused on Workday application configuration and integrations development and testing
  • Lead the Workday Change Advisory Board (CAB) to review and plan all production changes to Workday configuration
  • Lead enterprise architecture design planning centered around Workday and manage the integration development and testing plan for all inbound and outbound Workday integrations
  • Collaborate with the Data Strategy team on the data conversion and Workday reports development activities
  • Manage Workday security, including security role configuration, maintenance and assignment, as well as Workday integration with the Okta identity and access management platform to manage single sign on, multi-factor authentication, and user lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with integrated application owners to ensure end to end processes and integrations meet business requirements
  • Build and maintain professional partnerships with internal business partners, that are characterized by shared responsibility and success, open communication and transparency.
  • Develop a strong vendor management relationship with Workday and act as the primary point of contact for Workday change management


  • Post-secondary degree in relevant field; preference will be given to candidates possessing Master’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Science;
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience;
  • Experience managing Workday administration, integrations, security and report writing;
  • Proven analytical, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills with the ability to operate at a strategic level to develop and achieve shared goals and organizational objectives;
  • Collaborative style enables ability to work well with people at all levels of an organization and brings a humble yet compelling approach to leadership;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a results-oriented management style;
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and ability to recognize and respond to changing industry trends and priorities;
  • Occasional business travel.
